Recently, several of us from Prime Advertising & Design had the honor of attending the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon featuring Sen. Al Franken.

The luncheon was quite well attended, and the senator received a warm welcome from chamber members. Franken took the opportunity to speak about the latest in health care legislation and global warming issues, in addition to addressing a number of handwritten questions from the audience. The event was also a great place to network, meet up with friends and make new connections.

Prime Advertising & Design and the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce have enjoyed a long relationship, collaborating on numerous projects – most recently development of the Chamber’s website (www.NHAChamber.com) and an e-newsletter. Prime has published the Chamber’s membership directory for several years, providing members with a valuable resource that makes it easier to do business with fellow Chamber members.

If you do business in Maple Grove, Brooklyn Park, Osseo or Brooklyn Center, we strongly suggest you join the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber offers a variety of ways for members to network, get involved and make a difference in the local business community.

One great example of how the Chamber works in the community is the upcoming Business & Career Expo on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the campus of Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park. The Expo will feature member exhibition space, complete with product demonstrations and prize giveaways, in addition to a diversity conference co-sponsored by Hennepin Technical College and North Hennepin Community College.
