The holidays may be over, but that doesn’t mean the giving has to stop. The Prime Advertising Team values their community and believes in the importance of giving back and helping those in need. Please consider joining with Prime Advertising as we partner with Minnesota FoodShare for their 35th Annual March Campaign.
Minnesota FoodShare is a program of the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches (GMCC) that hosts the annual Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign, which is the largest fund and food drive through local community action to fight hunger and keep 300 food shelves stocked across the state.
Over the past 34 years, Minnesota FoodShare has brought together organizations, businesses and places of worship to raise over 16 million dollars to help food shelves across the state. In 2016, the March Campaign raised $7.9 million dollars and 5.2 million pounds of food for their most successful year yet.
Minnesota FoodShare works to be strong advocates of hunger issues at local, state, and national levels by providing resources and education for the community. In addition to the March Campaign, the Minnesota FoodShare Harvest Campaign helps to promote awareness of healthy food options and increasing access to fresh produce at food shelves.
Pack the Pews is a featured weekend during the March Campaign for places of worship to raise food and funds for local food shelves. The weekend of March 24-26 is dedicated as a final push to fight to end hunger.
Minnesota FoodShare envisions a Minnesota where all residents have access to healthy food and no one suffers from hunger.
To work toward this incredible solution, we need your help. Drop off your food donations at the Prime office any time during our regular business hours Monday, March 1 through Wednesday, March 29. Donations are also being accepted at additional locations no later than April 2.
