When we put out the search for a new Account Manager, it didn\u2019t take long to fill the position. With her background, experience, and friendly demeanor, Rochelle Dockery is fitting right in at PRIME. And that\u2019s no surprise, since this role was tailor made for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her new role, Rochelle will connect with the community, building partnerships with clients to identify goals and understand their needs. From there, she and the PRIME Team<\/a> will customize a strategy to meet those needs and help each unique business grow and succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In her own words, Rochelle has \u201cbeen an account manager forever.\u201d That experience, coupled with her digital marketing firm (more on that in a bit), made this a custom-fit opportunity \u2014both for Rochelle and for PRIME<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Born and raised in Chicago, Rochelle wasn\u2019t sure what she might do when she got older. \u201cHonestly, I didn\u2019t really have huge dreams,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At one point, she thought she might become a doctor. \u201cI thought it would be super cool to be a surgeon,\u201d she explained. \u201cAnd then once I got into it and realized, \u2018Oh, this is probably not going to be what I thought,\u2019 I backed out of that direction.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n But Rochelle always knew she wanted a \u201cfun\u201d career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhenever I look at people who have fun jobs, it was always people in marketing,\u201d she said. And so began the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rochelle went to school in Chicago and at St. Paul College<\/a>, where she studied marketing. Before joining PRIME, she worked as a freelancer with her own digital marketing agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI was creating websites and helping with branding and logos. I did a lot of social media,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And her company? She started it sort of on a whim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rochelle was helping friends and family with social media, websites, and marketing ideas \u2014 and then COVID-19<\/a> hit. \u201cWhen the pandemic happened,\u201d she started, \u201cI got bored. And I was like, \u2018You know what? I\u2019m just going to start a business.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, she did. No big deal. She clearly knows how to make things happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Away from work, Rochelle enjoys hanging out in her circle. \u201cI like to catch up with my family, my friends, my boyfriend,\u201d she said. She also has a 10-year-old son with whom she cherishes spending time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI like yoga. I love hosting and I love cooking,\u201d she added. \u201cAnd I love making my family and friends try my new recipes.\u201d Many of those recipes are vegetarian dishes, she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And she joked that her diners often seem indifferent to her meat-free creations, though their plates are clean. \u201cI think they secretly like it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now that she\u2019s part of the PRIME Team, Rochelle is ready to dive in. \u201cI love to help; I love new projects. And I love things that are challenging,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And she\u2019s elated to work for a marketing agency with deep community roots and a collaborative, cohesive crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019m excited to be here and excited to work with the people here,\u201d she said. \u201cEveryone is genuinely friendly and connected with each other.
