Happy National Cookie Day from the PRIME team<\/a>! The holiday season, like most of 2020, looks a little different. Even so, that doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t have a fun weekend baking session with family. Schedule a Zoom meeting, get on FaceTime, or power up your Alexa Show and take out the mixing bowls!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FAVORITES FROM THE PRIME COOKIE JAR<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

ABBEY <\/strong>\u2013 Pistachio cookies<\/a>. My mom started making them when I was in middle school and she has made them ever since because they are so delicious. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASHLEY<\/strong> \u2013 Krumkake. My family makes a huge batch every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"National<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

KELSEY<\/strong> \u2013 Sour cream sugar cookies<\/a>. You can easily switch up the things you mix into it. I like to do cranberries and orange zest as well as chocolate covered toffee bits. Sometimes I kick it old school and just frost them like a standard sugar cookie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SHAUNA <\/strong>\u2013 Pecan sandies\/Russian Tea Cakes\/Mexican Wedding cookies. My godmother made them when I was kid and I loved them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ROB<\/strong> \u2013 Brown sugar cookies<\/a>. I found this recipe seven years ago and it is the best cookie. It can have chocolate chips and\/or nuts added. I have made these for my family every holiday season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANN<\/strong> \u2013 Greek Christmas cookies (Kourabiedes)<\/a>. Our family recipe was passed down to me from my Yiayia (grandmother in Greek). I use amaretto when I\u2019m baking (and I add some in the cookie dough too!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"National<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

ALLISON<\/strong>\n\u2013 Gingerbread. Our family tradition is making my great-grandma\u2019s recipe with my\ndad. We did it when I was little, and he has tried to do with my niece and nephew\nevery year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

JULIE<\/strong>\n\u2013 Cream cheese wreath cookies. My mom always made them, and I\u2019ve continued the\ntradition (not saying how old I am but let\u2019s say they\u2019ve been an annual\ntradition for 50+ years). When I moved away from home, I was given an\nold-fashioned cookie press just like Mom has!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUZANNE<\/strong> \u2013 Pfeffernusse cookies. This might not be a true family favorite cookie to EAT but the process and the family tradition of making them IS<\/strong>! Pfeffernusse cookies (peppernuts) have been made every year by my husband\u2019s family for as long as he can remember. The process is done over the course of two days and requires a lot of flour, lard, pure anise oil, mess, and cookie dough snakes! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LIZ<\/strong> \u2013 Santa\u2019s Trash Cookies<\/a>. The perfect amount of salty and sweet. SO good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ROCLYN, MELISSA, SARA M. <\/strong>\u2013 Spritz. (Who doesn\u2019t love this Christmas classic?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
