A <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"recent Invesp infographic (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.invespcro.com\/blog\/the-importance-of-online-customer-reviews-infographic\/\" target=\"_blank\">recent Invesp infographic<\/a> indicates that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>For 88 percent of consumers, an online review is as trusted as a personal recommendation. <\/li><li>Prior to visiting a business, 9 out of 10 consumers read online reviews.<\/li><li>Almost three-fourths are more likely to trust a local business that has positive reviews.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Reviews also allow businesses to genuinely connect with customers through engagement, and this interaction helps boost visibility. Google elevates businesses with an increased number of high ratings and engagement on Local Map Pack rankings, which shows the first three businesses at the top of a search page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re a small business,\u201d Reinan said, \u201cthis can set you apart from the big box stores.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, online feedback helps businesses understand what its customers enjoy about the business or experience or things to improve upon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>RESPONDING TO REVIEWS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Every business should strive for positive feedback. But no matter the review, an immediate response tells customers that your business is attentive and that it cares about their experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Businesses that acknowledge and respond to reviews exhibit good customer service practices and garner trust. In fact, a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"BrightLocal survey (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.brightlocal.com\/research\/local-consumer-review-survey\/#:~:text=71%25%20of%20consumers%20say%20they,responded%20to%20their%20existing%20reviews.&amp;text=Ignoring%20negative%20feedback%20could%20deter,online%20presence%20across%20the%20internet.\" target=\"_blank\">BrightLocal survey<\/a> showed that 71 percent of consumers are more inclined to rely on a business that responds to its reviews. What\u2019s more, Google\u2019s local search rankings now <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"include review responses (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/webpunch.com\/responding-to-online-reviews-is-good-practice\/\" target=\"_blank\">include review responses<\/a>. So, do your business a favor with a speedy but insightful reply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When responding to a review, be sure to have a game plan. Regularly monitor your online reviews and respond in a timely fashion. Then: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Reply to a positive review by emphasizing the customer\u2019s favorable experience.<\/li><li>Be understanding when responding to a negative review and suggest solutions to the customer\u2019s concerns.<\/li><li>Offer thanks to customers for their time and evaluation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Actively communicating with customers shows that your business is committed to providing quality service and responding to feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>GAINING MORE REVIEWS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps the best way to get more reviews is to consistently deliver first-rate service and quality products. Another great way to get reviews is to ask for them. This is commonly done via text or email and most often after a recent purchase or experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be cordial and straightforward with your request. Point out that customer feedback matters and will help cultivate your business. Make the process simple, follow up as needed, and remember to thank your customers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGetting reviews can be tricky,\u201d Reinan said. \u201cYou want to make it easy.
