Color us happy! Prime<\/a> welcomes Buddy the Elf<\/a> as a special, one-day-only employee. He\u2019s here to answer the phone and spread cheer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from the North Pole, Buddy identifies as an elf but clarified, \u201cTechnically, I\u2019m a human, but I was raised by elves.\u201d After discovering his father\u2019s name on Santa\u2019s Naughty List, Buddy traveled to New York City to search for his dad and try to change the man\u2019s Christmas list fate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buddy said his journey to reach the Big Apple was epic. The experience was the kind of adventure about which children\u2019s books are written. \u201cI traveled through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, past the sea of twirly-swirly gum drops,\u201d he described, \u201cand then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though he is very likable \u2013 at times almost annoyingly so \u2013 Buddy admits he once was thrown out of and subsequently banned from Gimbel\u2019s Department Store. A misunderstanding turned riotous after Buddy called out the store\u2019s Santa for being \u201ca fake.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Prime-Welcomes-Buddy-Elf-Phone\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Buddy\u2019s affinity for elf culture is just one of his many redeeming qualities. He also enjoys doling out hugs, saying \u201cFrancisco,\u201d and sniffing out those who might try to impersonate Santa. Buddy also likes to smile. He doesn\u2019t need a reason, he insisted: \u201cI just like to smile. Smiling\u2019s my favorite,\u201d he said \u2013 fittingly, with a smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buddy has a younger half-brother, Michael, and is a whiz at snowball fights and burping<\/a>, much to Michael\u2019s delight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his free time, Buddy points out the obvious to anyone who will listen. And he isn\u2019t one to pass up a meal, so long as it\u2019s tasty. \u201cWe elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corn, and syrup,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our one-day-only receptionist finds joy in little things, such as whispering, running in circles through revolving doors, the variety of flavors still surprisingly infused in discarded pieces of chewing gum, decorating to perfection for the Christmas holiday, and buying gifts for \u201cthat special someone.\u201d Just ask his dad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buddy is most looking forward to circulating holiday happiness \u2013 through song. \u201cThe best way to spread Christmas cheer,\u201d he said, \u201cis singing loud for all to hear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
