Remember the 1980s TV series Cheers<\/em>? Not only was it one of the funniest shows of all time, but it also had a pretty fantastic theme song. On a recent client visit to Blaine Kennels, I was reminded of Cheers. I wasn\u2019t necessarily thinking about Sam Malone or a bar, but the words to that theme song: \u201cWhere Everybody Knows Your Name.\u201d The very title sums up the team and vibe around Blaine Kennels.<\/p>\n

They are DOG LOVERS. All caps. They know every dog\u2019s name and every dog\u2019s story. They can tell you how long each dog has been in Dog Squad Training, the dog\u2019s progress, and what the dog was like when he or she first arrived. They know each dog\u2019s temperament and favorite toy. Walking around the facility with owner Thomas Carroll felt more like he was introducing me to his friends rather than dogs in his Doggy Day Care program.<\/p>\n

Resident mascot Finn would play the role of Norm. Finn is amazing. He is missing one eye and was born with underdeveloped hips, which have required two major surgeries. He hops around like a rabbit when he is trying to run.\u00a0 He participates in some training classes and helps calm new guests. I swear I could almost hear a group of dogs bark, \u201cFINN!\u201d when he walked into the room.<\/p>\n

The motto of Blaine Kennels, \u201cWe\u2019re not fancy, we\u2019re family,\u201d is obviously true. This team knows and loves their dogs.<\/p>\n
