Customers should be able to get a sense of what you do just by looking at your logo. The best corporate logos are unique, easy to read and often include subliminal messages (FedEx, Amazon), while the worst are jumbled, tacky and forgettable.<\/p>\n<p>With campaign season heading into full swing, it\u2019s been more than interesting to watch as candidates unveil their logo. From red, white and blue color schemes to no-frills fonts, presidential candidate logos tend to play it safe. Although many of the 2016 offerings are yawn-inducing, a few bucked the trend with logos that were either surprisingly slick or downright\u00a0amateurish.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">THE GOOD<\/span><\/h3>\n<table width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"10\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\" width=\"30%\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Hillary_for_America_2016_logosquare.svg_.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-thumbnail wp-image-5116 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Hillary_for_America_2016_logosquare.svg_-150x150.png\" alt=\"Hillary_for_America_2016_logosquare.svg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Hillary_for_America_2016_logosquare.svg_-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Hillary_for_America_2016_logosquare.svg_-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Hillary_for_America_2016_logosquare.svg_.png 336w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\"><strong>Hillary Clinton:\u00a0<\/strong>Not to be outdone by Hilton or Holiday Inn, Hillary Clinton enters the fray with her take on the solitary \u201cH\u201d logo, incorporating a forward-progress arrow into the design. Too minimal for some, the Democratic Party frontrunner is perhaps the only politician in this election cycle prominent enough to pull off a single letter logo. Clean and efficient, Hillary\u2019s logo looks great on t-shirts, business cards and just about anything else (tattoos?).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" align=\"left\" valign=\"top\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Rand_Paul_Presidential_Campaign_logosquare.svg_.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-thumbnail wp-image-5117 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Rand_Paul_Presidential_Campaign_logosquare.svg_-150x150.png\" alt=\"Rand_Paul_Presidential_Campaign_logosquare.svg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Rand_Paul_Presidential_Campaign_logosquare.svg_-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Rand_Paul_Presidential_Campaign_logosquare.svg_-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Rand_Paul_Presidential_Campaign_logosquare.svg_.png 533w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\"><strong>Rand Paul:\u00a0<\/strong>Although the Kentucky senator is a longshot for the Republican nomination, his logo is shoo-in material. Bold, sans-serif and all-caps, \u201cRand\u201d grabs attention and distinguishes Paul from his illustrious father. However, the magnum opus of Paul\u2019s logo is the torch design. The flame is tidy, while the italicized \u201cA\u201d and \u201cN\u201d achieve the graphic designer\u2019s holy grail: creating the torch\u2019s base using negative space. Traditionally, the torch symbolizes enlightenment and hope. Here\u2019s to hoping Paul\u2019s logo will enlighten campaign designers in the future.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" align=\"left\" valign=\"top\">\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">THE MEDIOCRE<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/JEB_2016_Campaign_Logosquare.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-thumbnail wp-image-5118 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/JEB_2016_Campaign_Logosquare-150x150.png\" alt=\"JEB!_2016_Campaign_Logosquare\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/JEB_2016_Campaign_Logosquare-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/JEB_2016_Campaign_Logosquare-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/JEB_2016_Campaign_Logosquare.png 570w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\"><strong>Jeb Bush:\u00a0<\/strong>The former governor of Florida aims to evoke strong emotion and shouting with his logo\u2019s use of bright red and an exclamation point. Like Clinton and Paul, Bush\u2019s is wise to use his unique first name to escape the shadow of his brother and father. Although the bold \u201cJeb\u201d contrasts well with the understated \u201c2016,\u201d the offering is uninspiring. Perhaps the Republican should learn from Writing 101: convey excitement through content, not through a tacked-on exclamation point.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" align=\"left\" valign=\"top\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"10\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Trump_2016.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-5119 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Trump_2016-300x111.png\" alt=\"Trump_2016\" width=\"300\" height=\"111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Trump_2016-300x111.png 300w, https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Trump_2016-1024x379.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Trump_2016.png 1702w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\"><strong>Donald Trump:\u00a0<\/strong>Not great, not hideous, Trump\u2019s logo is white, brash and uncompromising\u2014much like the billionaire businessman himself. While the all-caps \u201cTrump\u201d really pops and can be read from a mile away, the Republican\u2019s logo loses points for its hackneyed slogan, \u201cMake America Great Again!\u201d Barack Obama\u2019s \u201cHope and Change\u201d notwithstanding, most campaign slogans are largely forgettable. Not exactly a logo to trump the competition.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" align=\"left\" valign=\"top\">\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">THE UGLY<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/rickperrylogo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-5127 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/rickperrylogo-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/rickperrylogo-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.primeadvertising.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/rickperrylogo.png 189w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\"><strong>Rick Perry:\u00a0<\/strong>Although the Texas governor scores a point with his Oakland Athletics-style circular design, the rest of the Republican\u2019s logo is an emphatic strikeout. While the font is fine, the letters spelling out \u201cPerry\u201d are far too spaced out. The worst offense, however, is the tacky clip art star sucking the life out of the red \u201cP.\u201d The star is about five sizes too large, while its trail and the lighter shades of blue are completely unnecessary.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While each of these campaigns set out to create a logo that captures the attention of voters, some clearly do a better job than others.
