Pop’d Kerns™ was going through a transformation. With a name change and new branding, the company’s owner was looking to launch a brand new website with an innovative and creative look. Prime’s design team carefully selected the components of the site, integrating images of burlap, barn wood and fresh corn fields to portray an all-natural, home-grown feel. Close-up images of Pop’d Kerns™ kernals evoke a mouthwatering interest while large highlights smoothly guide users to the point of purchase.
The new site integrates interactive features to keep users engaged. Features like “Submit Your Own Testimonial” and “Share Your Creative Way to Enjoy Pop’d Kerns™” allows users to contribute to the website and brand, forming a sense of community.
The Pop’d Kerns™ site was built as an e-commerce site allowing customers to purchase bags to be shipped to their home or place of business. Prime Advertising also integrated secure login levels into the website, providing an area for existing customers to create an account. These customer accounts allow users to move through the checkout process faster, store multiple shipping addresses, view and track orders and more. The website also includes a Pop’d Kerns™ Store Locator, in which customers can enter their zip code to search for stores that carry Pop’d Kerns™ near them.
Social media plays a large role in the new website as well. On each product page, there is an option to “Like” a flavor of Pop’d Kerns™ or send a Facebook message to a friend about Pop’d Kerns™. Links to Twitter, Facebook and their new blog, “In the News” at the top and bottom of each page keep visitors up-to-date on new flavor launches, available locations and promotions. An area on the homepage offers users the option of signing up for Pop’d Kerns™ email promotions and coupons. Prime set up email marketing capability through Vertical Response to manage email sign-up submissions and launch promotional email campaigns for its loyal customers. We also designed a custom email template that maintains the theme of the website and new product packaging.
Since its launch this spring, the site already has over 41,000 page views and the number of visitors continues to climb each month!
