Prepare for meltdown!

The Summer Games are back, we’ve waited for so so long for them to return and now could ask for a better place for them to be hosted than China?

2008 Olympic GamesAnyways, there seems to be alot of fear that the summer games are going to bring a meltdown to the internet because of the mass amounts of live video streaming that’s going to be provided for these games.

I read ealier today on ZDnet.com that they’re going to broadcast over 2,200 hours of video coverage via the internet.  That’s unbelieveable!!!

The video streaming is going to be handled and distributed by Digital Rapids who is based out of Markham, Ontario.  According to Digital Rapids everything should run smoothly, but some including Tom Steinert of ZDnet.com think that maybe this extreme amount of streaming could cause some slowdowns or delays in internet speeds.

So if you notice any reduced speeds in your internet these next couple of weeks "Blame Canada", jk.  Just know that probably millions of internet users are supporting their country men and women via the internet.

Check out www.NBColympics.com for all the video coverage you could ever want.
