Website Redesign For Ranchline: It’s One Hot Property
I do have passion for every project we take on, but this one had me over excited from the start. I think it was a combo of the product, beautiful ranches in Texas and New Mexico, and also the customer, Paul Taylor. Paul has been extremely successful in his 20 years of real estate and I can see why. He’s been one of those clients that lets us do what we do best … design and build websites … and he also has a dedication to quality. Integrating professionally taken photos and video into the site makes our job a bit easier. So here are some of the highlights of Ranchline.com.
Design
After looking at Paul’s past traffic we assessed that moving to a wider layout was a must. His users were on wider browsers and the more space for visuals and content, the better. Prime had redesigned Paul’s logo after he realized he needed a stronger brand. We took the fresh and clean logo and kept that flow in the design. The design really represents a high quality and energetic look. The fact that this website has appeared on CSS Mania, The Best Designs and Screenalicous galleries confirms we put together a fantastic design on this one.

Layout
You’ve heard me preach it before, give users the ability to take in all the details and info easily. We created the layout for the property listing details to connect all of the great visuals, features, content and mapping tools. Users can read the marketing pitch on the property, view enlarged photos in a gallery, watch a video of the property, view and control a Google satellite map of the area, and more. View one of the ranch listings.
Function
The coolest feature for us is the use of a RSS feed to keep interested parties up to date on new Ranchline listings. Ranchline Listing Alerts lets a user subscribe via a RSS feed or by entering their email address. The user will then get an update within hours of a new ranch listing hitting the website. Paul stresses his eagerness to leverage technology for increasing follow-up and connection with his potential clients and the RSS Alerts help accomplish this. Users can also sign-up for his e-letter on the site and fill out request forms. Built on the SMC, Ranchline has all of our normal user tools and content management abilities. Luke did a great job integrating Google Maps to give the user a birds eye view of the properties than can range up to 25,000 acres or more.

Overall we couldn’t be happier with the result and the future of working with Paul and Ranchline. The site embodies all that is beautiful, cool and needed from a real estate website in our eyes. We hope the people out there looking for some perfect ranch properties will agree.
