Searchers Weigh In On Improving Search Engines

Even though the answers below are from just sampling 425 web searchers, it is still very interesting to see the results.  If another search engine, whether it’s Ask.com, Yahoo or a new entry, want to take on the market share that Google commands they will need to have one of these answers as their selling point.  Feel free to comment if you have any thoughts inline with these results or an idea of your own.

25% - Bringing highly relevant results with semantic precision

9%  - Giving more control of search options 

7%  - Having a simple and powerful user interface 

5%  - Allowing user participation in ranking search results
