Ouch … You’re Giving Your Competition Business

back painI managed to mess up my back quite extensively last week playing basketball to the point where I was at the Chiropractor every day.  It is starting to heal this week to where I can at least walk without going into spasms.  I was supposed to go in for another adjustment today but had something come up and needed to reschedule.

So I jumped onto Google and typed in Great Lakes Chiropractic MN to get their phone number and reschedule my appointment.  As you can see from the results (prior link), they came up as the 5th and 6th result, the 6th being our Prime Guide Directory for Maple Grove, MN Chiropractors and neither result is their website … I’m thinking they don’t have one.  Worse than being that far down for their business name as a search term was the fact that their competitor is the one claiming the #1 spot.

How many times has someone tried to look for Great Lakes and ended up at their competitor’s website?  Ouch.

I’ll be mentioning this to my Doc tomorrow at my rescheduled appointment and offering up our web services to correct this.  I would care to guess his business is not alone in this costly mistake.  You can’t ignore the possible paths a customer can take to get to your door.  If you do, you’re hurting yourself and helping your competition.
