Participation Wanted & Rewarded
Thanks to Matt McGee and his Friday Night Link-o-rama, I came across a post from Chris Garret on 10 Reasons Commenting is Good For Bloggers. Chris puts together a nice list of things to ponder when your are scanning blogs and looks to instill some passion for you make an effort to participate.
I enjoyed #2 stating that you need to "get out there and make friends.". For some it takes a little push to drop your 2 cents and maybe this list will give you that push. I do know that you get more from ANYTHING when you participate, so start commenting on blogs you read and see what you get in return. It might be a bit of confidence, a new friend, a new idea or just a link back to your blog / website.
At the time I read his blog this morning, Chris had received 82 comments on his post. Ask and you will receive Chris, right? I’m sure he will also see increased commenting on other posts from this, as well as making the internet a better place (sorry, I couldn’t resist that line). I also wanted to highlight a few of the commenters and their blogs, another reward for their interaction:
