I’m Becoming a Netvibes Fan
It’s official, I’ve changed my homepage to Netvibes. That’s a big deal for me as for the last seven years it’s either been Google or StarTribune.com. Netvibes lets me tie into both and helps me keep in touch with my expanding list of favorite blogs, keep up on email, customize and control what I like or find more important … it’s just plain cool.
So what is Netvibes?
Netvibes is an easily customizable home page solution, falling under the Web 2.0 umbrella (using AJAX). It’s free-of-charge and gives the user the ability to control and aggregate all your internet life: local weather, search portals, webmail accounts, your news feeds, your blog feeds (make sure Prime is one of them!), your to-do list, bookmarks and more … all on one page. Access your page from anywhere.
I strongly recommend checking it out and seeing if it strikes your fancy for simplifying your internet experience. Prime clients, stay tuned as I’m considering hosting an "Introduction to blogging" seminar to which outlining Netvibes and other aggregators would be part of.
Have a great weekend, set your clocks ahead and we’ll see you Monday morning for the Monday Link Menu (after we fix our exchange issue, thanks Bill).
