Where Brain Food Comes From
If you’re like me, there is nothing quite like learning and consuming brain food. It’s one of the things I love most about my profession as a Web Director and the Internet, how quickly it evolves, creates new trends and how I have to be dedicated to stay in the flow. I often tell clients that I go to bed smart and wake up stupid because of the constant change, growth and innovation in websites and the net.
I thought I would share some of my print resources for staying close to the curve. There are about 50 blogs and websites I frequent daily, but we’ll save those for another day. If you are a small business owner or part of a small business, I’m sure you also have sources that keep you informed, educate and provoke thought. By only reacting or copying what your competition is doing, you are most like falling behind.
My stable of print publications
Business 2.0, by far and away my favorite mag, I tear up when it arrives in my mailbox, strong net & tech focus
Fast Company, another mag focused on small & medium businesses, tech, innovation, marketing & more
INC., small business resources for the entrepreneur, forward thinking, progressive
Many articles in these mags give me insight into business success, failures, leadership, technology and all that good stuff. It’s amazing to get a better view of what others are innovating, succeeding at and adapting to.
What magazines from your industry or just business in general feed your mind? We’d love to have you comment on your stable or lone star.
